Emma Buckmaster – Green Party candidate for Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket constituency
Emma has lived in Suffolk for over forty years. She initially trained and worked as an economist, but more recently has established a reputation as an environmental artist.
Emma understands the needs of rural communities. She has worked with small businesses and farmers and knows how important their contribution is to a thriving economy.
Food and farming are at the core of Emma’s campaign. She is very aware of challenges facing the farming sector as well as the environmentalists concerns about biodiversity loss and climate change.

Mark Ereira – Green Party Candidate for the West Suffolk Constituency
Mark has lived in East Anglia since a young boy, going to school in nearby Ely. He has made his home in West Suffolk with his family for three decades. Educated to Masters level, he has been running a successful social enterprise business from Suffolk for 25 years to help and support charities and community organisations grow and develop their services.
“In my work with communities across East Anglia it is clear the the people of West Suffolk are eager to embrace a different way of doing their politics, with someone truly rooted locally, able to lead and prepared to tell the truth; and who genuinely wants to work in Parliament with them and ensure they have the best of lives, their social, health and personal development needs met.
I am looking forward to the challenge of representing all the people of West Suffolk, getting viable public transport bringing in the villages and connecting the towns of Haverhill, Newmarket, Mildenhall and Brandon across our beautiful and extensive constituency so we all have a chance to achieve and do great things keeping the environment at the heart our decisions.”
He served as Councillor in Bury St Edmunds, including as Deputy Leader and driving forward the creation of a music venue (Apex), setting up the town’s Foodbank with faith and voluntary groups, better recycling in the town (brown and blue bins) and bringing safer cycling and pedestrian links. He served two terms on Suffolk County Council as the only Green in West Suffolk, and this is his fourth time as standing as MP.
